PART 1:ABOUT  FEMINISMREPRODUCTION

MORE HARM THAN GOOG

In recent years, under the media reports, the women freezing their eggs has been labeled as a pursuit of freedom and independence. In this project, I focus on Chinese women in the workplace who choose to freeze their eggs. They think freezing eggs are more of a compromise in the face of traditional conventions, the workplace, and the pressure men impose on them. I want to present the pressure faced by working women who choose egg freezing, via photographs of ice and a designed book. I want to tell the audience about the miseries that have been brought about by egg freezing, which surpass the happiness. I do hope that our society will one day realize that women’s independence comes with the expense of their reproductive freedom and other rights that they should be entitled to.

HIDDEN

The technology of male pregnancy be discussed in internet, but many men are opposed to this technology. Hidden under these oppositional voices is the pain that contemporary women suffer when they become pregnant. I used an interactive installation to simulate a fake system of “male pregnancy experience” in order to tell the suffering of women. that should belong to women. And I hope this question could be reconsidered, which is whether women should be taken the ability to have children for granted or not?

PART 2: ABOUT SOCIAL PHENOMENON

LONELY DEATH

In this project, I am concerned about young people who may face lonely death in the future due to their choice of marriage-free life. With the improvement of marriage rate, more and more people will face the end of “lonely death”. Because of the Chinese people’s stereotype of loneliness, public opinion often labels the “lonely dead” as “pitiful”. But in the view of some young people, “lonely death” is not a bad destination. Compared to the lonely death, the damages caused by forced accompaniment make them suffer more. Through the book design, I use the concept of photography combined with the form of poetry to describe: “Forced accompaniment” to people of two different mentalities caused by “loneliness”. I want the public to rethink the relationship between “alone” and companionship, to break out of public prejudice against marriagefree young people, and to let them regain public respect.

SWALLOW THE BAIT

In this project, I focus on the youth group who have “excessive consumption” behavior today. The rise of the e-commerce platform has brought us a lot of convenience. We can make loans more freely and conveniently, but we often ignore the “trap” set by the platform behind this convenience. The platform cultivates our consumer desires, uses our increasingly uncontrollable shopping desires to seek benefits, and consumers who are treated as bait, are gradually swallowed up by shopping desires, and eventually go to the end of debt or even “destruction.” Through the design of the hand drawing game, I try to make public understand how platform baits us step by step, and hope to be able to alert the players, letting them recognize the hidden threats behind the platform, and rethink the relationship between platform, consumers and businesses. I hope they can learn how to find a balance, rational consumption in this triangular relationship.

PART 3: ABOUT MYSELF

COMMUNICATION WITH GHOSTS

In this project, I interesting in people who are afraid of their own imagination, such as hypochondriacs, people who are afraid of intimacy relationship, people who are afraid of the dark, and people who afraid of deep sea. I use the method of book design , Combined with illustrations, videos and poems to express the inner struggles and fantasy of these people who fear imagination. I hope these people can rethink their fears through my works. I also hope that my work can provide the public with another perspective to see the world
